Description:  IMBAREX Bixin Powder is an orange brown powder, obtained from the Annatto seed (Bixa Orellana). It is produced using a water-alkaline method of extraction followed by neutralization with inorganic acid and a final drying and grinding process.

Solubility:  Soluble in hot alkaline solutions.

Application and Appearance in Food:  This product is primarily used in products containing animal or vegetable fats, margarine, cheese, snacks, spices and seasonings. It produces a yellowish-orange color depending on the characteristic of the product and the amount used.

Directions for use:  - Grind the powder (200 mesh) in its dry form and homogenize it with vegetable oil for direct use.
- Mix the powder with vegetable oil to obtain a very heavy solution. Pass it through a colloidal mill to ensure homogenization and sieve it to prevent small particles.

Storage:  It should be protected from direct exposure to light and heat. Store in a cool (5°C - 15°C), dry and ventilated area in a tightly sealed container.
If the product is stored under these conditions, it will maintain its properties up to 6 months from the date of manufacture.
